I will start a Yahoo group dedicated to 1997 here with a few weeks.

The Zach Gordon Alumni Fund was created to raise funds that will benefit the Zach Gordon Youth Center and the teenagers who use the facility today.

The fund has supported scholarships to graduates heading to further schooling, purchased equipment for the Youth Center, sponsored a basketball team, and assisted in funding a summer intern to help at the Center.

I really dislike using JDHSGrads.com to voice my own opinion, but I cannot help but share my utter frustration with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee's decision to decline the waiver proposal submitted by the Juneau Youth Football League to have the stadium at Adair-Kennedy named after Reilly Richey.

The proposal sought to have the 12-month waiting could be waived so that the naming ceremony could happen at this season's first home game.

Is it gonna happen? I need your help folks. If you are in the class of 1996 email me or call me with your suggestions and comments about our upcoming anniversary with JDHS. You can call me (Tommy) @ 723-9316. Time is running out!

We're back online, pretty much running with all capabilities like before, i.e. private messaging, new user registration, and no wacky error messages.

Okay, that was a mess. A hard drive failed in the server running JDHSGrads.com and we've been scrambling to get things up and running on a new server. Of course, along with a new server comes new settings and with new settings... Well, some things are temporarily unavailable. For right now, you can't get to your Private Messages, which is probably the biggest thing. I hope to have this fixed in the next day or two. I'll keep you all posted!

UPDATE:Okay, there are some more problems that I haven't been able to track down a solution to as quickly as I'd like.

Just a note to let you all know that unregistered, or "anonymous", users can no longer post messages to the Forums.

In the past month or so, spammers have been targeting the forums and posting links about various un-JDHSGrads.com things. I can't really check every single post and I can't catch everything the minute it's posted, so the easiest thing is to only allow registered, signed in users the ability to post.

Sorry to have to do this, but just add it to the list of negative ways spammers have affected the internet!
