Hey all - just a little heads up that in the next day or two I'll be switching over to a newly updated, better-looking JDHSGrads.com site.

None of your information will change and the same basic layout will be used. However, some items might be in new locations (easier to find!) and some lesser-used and/or often-abused items will be gone, making everything much cleaner and easier to navigate.

Of course, as with any change, there may be some hiccups. If you come across any, be sure to let me know by using the Feedback link!

Hello Class of 1967,

How about August 17, 18, and 19th for our Fortieth Class Reunion? Most of us have been getting questions and we’ve all been hoping somebody else was planning it! Phone calls over the last couple of days have gotten Walt Soboleff, Med Christie, Kim Metcalfe and I talking. Walt will be our overall point person. I volunteered to put out a feeler to make sure no one else was planning anything and to see if the August dates will work. Please contact any of us to make comments. Or maybe you can respond here. I'm a newcomer and not sure quite how this works.

I am starting the groundwork for a Class of 1998 10 year reunion. My tentative plan is to follow the traditions of all other reunions in Juneau and hold it around the July 4th holiday. I am looking for any and all volunteers to help in this project as I live in Michigan and rarely make it back to Juneau. A forum has been started in the Reunions section so feel free to start brainstorming with me!

You may notice over on the left side a new ">forum" link. Basically, it's an online bulletin/discussion board. For now, the forums are open to the public, so you can go in there and browse around, post messages, whatever. Depending on how things go, we'll make some of the boards open only to people who register in the forum.

From the first night we recognized each other - sometimes in just a glance, often after a few minutes of catching up. On June 30 and31st and July 1st the Class of 1966 came together in various Juneau settings to remember, renew, revise and rewind. We brought photos of the kids and the grandkids and the dogs, significant others, ex's, houses, toys, and places we've traveled. The common thread was the 4 years we spent together, some barely knowing one another -- some lifelong friends. A story, anecdote - some memories were better, embellished by years of telling.
