Woo! As of today, the 29th of January, JDHSGrads.com has 1,411 members! That's nearly double what we had last year at this time. I really hope this trend continues. I'm kind of bummed that the class of 2004 isn't better represented, but I guess you don't really start to miss your friends till you don't seem them everyday - we'll see... Catch ya later, stay warm!
It's 2004!

Well, here's my first little update for 2004 and hopefully it finds you having a good new year so far! I wanted to let you know that I've updated everyone's PHOTOS - I took some time to simplify the process for myself, which made adding the 25 or so photos that I had backlogged a fast and easy job. So take a look around, see if someone you knew has added their photo. I also encourage you to upload yours! Now that I have some better coding in place, I should be able to update/add photos relatively quickly. Now it's not an "Oh no..." type of thing.

Since I'm in an updating frenzy, I need to pass along the info I received regarding the ALL CLASS JDHS REUNION being held here in Juneau on July 2nd and 3rd of 2004. There are some pretty neat events planned, such as whale watching, and of course everyone is encouraged to register.

When you get a moment, stop by and check out the JDHS Dance Team's homepage. Since I'm still in Juneau, I make it to their annual dance performance every year, it's a very cool thing for JDHS to have!

Nearly forgot to mention we've hit 1,300 members! I still have about 150-200 profiles to process, so we might be at 1,400 before this year is over. Great! Happy holidays once again!

I know I've been slacking! The summer months got to me and I had too many projects going on at once. I let the JDHSGrads.com maintenance get too backlogged and I just gave up there for a while. But, the summer months are gone, the autumn nights are getting longer, and I'm getting back into 'programming mode'. So, expect to see updates being updated, additions being added, and stuff being maintained. That's my job and by gosh, I'm gonna do it! Thanks everyone for your patience and putting up with me! (BTW, the lightning and thunder this morning was really cool!)

Apologies for anyone trying to access the site today, only to get a 'Cannot find server or DNS Error' message. GCI.net, my ISP, had a little network outage today, which unfortunately means the site was unavailable from about 4:15pm on. GCI.net is fast and relatively cheap, but they sure ain't so reliable lately! Thanks for your patience...

For those of you who have submitted updates/photos in the past week and a half and just haven't seen them take effect yet, I want you to know I really am trying my hardest to keep up with them. I've been busy lately with my job (yeah, I have one of those!) and other things and I've been trying my best to schedule some time to sit down and catch up on all the updates that have been submitted. I'll try to have all of them done by this coming Sunday, June 1st. Thanks for your understanding!
Cool Link

I was just surfin' the net and came across this link at the Anchorage Daily News website. It's basically a repository of biographies and photos of Alaskan soldiers currently in Iraq. There are a few soldiers listed from Juneau, but I know there are more.
